How To Make A 72 Hour Kit

June 15th, 2010

Personally, I don’t take this particular approach. Most people will make themselves a 72 hour kit. I took a survival training class in college where they literally took you out to the wilderness and you could do what you had to do or starve. Not a bad experience. But if you are in a disaster, or even if you’re not, sometimes, it’s good to have a 72 hour kit around, which many learn about in health and safety training.

A 72 hour kit can be found in many forms. Some stores put them together for you. Other outdoors stores like Cabelas just sell the individual pieces, because there are so many possible combinations. The first major thing to get would be food and water. I’m not sure how much good this would do for you if you were trapped in a building, because chances are you left it in your basement or your car. But it’s one of those take it with you things. If you have it with you, this food and water could be essential to survival. Second, you need bedding and clothing. If your clothes get wet or something like that, it is better to have a dry set, and you should have things like a raincoat or poncho as well as emergency heat blankets and possibly even sheets.

It’s best to have a flashlight or light of some kind such as flares, candles, or a lighter. Your phone does not count unfortunately. And you should have some basic equipment such as a can opener, utensils, shovel, radio, pen and paper, axe, pocket knives(they have quite a few options), rope, and duct tape, because after all, duct tape fixes everything!

With this in mind, you can buy on your own and try to figure out which one works for you. But there are quite a few organizations, groups, and of course health and safety training programs that can give you tips and advice on how to put together an effective and necessary 72 hour kit. They can give you a good sized bag that is manageable while telling you the best things that you can get to maximize your space and yet still be able to have with yo9u quite regularly just in case you have the need for it.

How To Find A Cheap Vacation

March 30th, 2010

My parents’ idea of a cheap vacation was to actually go to a local theme park and spend a one day pass there. They would go on all the rides, and my mom would be dragged onto all of the rides she hated. With them, they saved money by not really going on vacation at all. Other more vacation oriented people drive instead of fly. Maybe they take the train, maybe they look for deals on cheap cruises, and sometimes the cheap shows. Often, the cheap shows.

But with all inclusive travel, I don’t have to follow my parents’ old habits. They say that you learn everything from your parents. But I have new ideas about vacations in general, and all inclusive travel allows me to both be frugal and get more out of my vacation than I could if I even went on my own and spent more money.

I have now been to Europe, Hawaii, etc all with all inclusive travel. With all inclusive travel, I have been able to schedule things that I never would’ve thought of. I’ve seen all the major landmarks, and I’ve had time of my own to see the smaller things. But I spent less than the sites would estimate when you go on your own. I’ve spent less than some of my friends who went on their own and got less out of it. So I’m finding that more than ever, all inclusive travel is the way to go for real results.

Bioperine For Sexual Enhancement

January 29th, 2010

VigRX claims that you can achieve the ultimate results for your penis as compared to any other product. They talk about using the best formula with tribulus terrestis and damiana, and they have newly added an ingredient called bioperine. Bioperine has been used in everything from weight loss to obviously now sexual enhancement. So the question is, what does bioperine have to do with sexual enhancement or anything really?

The active ingredient in bioperine, a patented ingredient, is called piperine. It comes essentially speaking from black pepper, and it has something like 95% piperine. You need only 10mg, a pure 10mg to produce these types of results, and it’s not something that you might expect right off the bat when looking at advertisements for VigRX.

But VigRX does use it for a reason. VigRX and other supplements of all kind use bioperine for a reason. They use it as a nutrient enhancer. It basically works to enhance the absorption of other nutrients. So it is essential in some ways. Bioperine allows you to get the most out of other ingredients in the blend such as tribulus terrestis for example, therefore allowing VigRX to give you potentially better results.

The problem with VigRX is that while they have bioperine, they don’t have the ingredients for it to really strengthen. They have one total good ingredient known as tribulus terrestis, and then they use damiana, which is actually more for women and menstrual pain than men and sexual dysfunction.

So obviously, I wouldn’t recommend this. I would definitely recommend looking into bioperine as a small part of this. However, the reality is that I would suggest looking into a product called Orexis instead. Orexis has all the right ingredients to absorb into the body in the first place, and it also has the clinically proven amounts. It has the basis that VigRX does not.

Why Budgets Fail

August 7th, 2009

It is budget time once a month, and often times people make some common mistakes, and they end up dreading this time of month for a reason.  But this happens over and over for a reason.  You should have the money, but it seems like every month you don’t.

First of all, people do not write down their budget, which is a big deal.  If you don’t see it right in front of you, just like if you don’t see your actual spending right in front of you, you cannot get a realistic handle on things.

Second, people fail to plan for things that don’t come on a monthly basis.  Maybe they come every other month or maybe every 6 months or maybe like taxes even once a year.

Then there are those who fail to save money by setting money aside for an emergency fund.  Emergencies happen, and you have to be prepared for them.

Fourth, some forget to assign out all of their income.  Whether you are assigning it to your mortgage or savings, you have to put every dime somewhere.  So write it all out.

And finally, there are some who fail to re-evaluate.  If something is not working for you, the thing to do is to change what you are doing.  If you fail to do this, it will just be a self defeating cycle in general.
